One of the objectives of Marine Genomics Europe is to develop a shared and harmonized approach to knowledge transfer and dissemination. With this aim in view, an Intellectual Properties Use and Dissemination Committee (IPUDC) has been created.
This committee defines, with all contractors, a common strategy of Use and dissemination of MGE’s results.
The IPUDC advises contractors about Knowledge that might be protected, used or disseminated after evaluation of publications and activity reports issued by Sub-project Committees.
The IPUDC may assist Contractors and submit a proposal on the allocation of shares of co-ownership to Knowledge obtained by several Contractors, and assist these Contractors in establishing co-ownership agreements for said Knowledge. It shall conduct freedom-cooperate studies, assist in the negotiation of Access rights between Contractors and propose solutions to any intellectual property issues.
