Visiting fellowships are available for access to bioinformatic centre. An Access sheme can be downloaded here. Up to 400 euros are available upon request (download the application scheme) to travel to Bioinformatic centres.
Marine biologists are well aware of the need to incorporate all of the newly developing facets of the "Omics" technology into their research agendas. To do this effectively we have enlisted the close cooperation of technical support centres. Integration in "Marine Genomics" thus consists of both integrating technologies (based on already existing platforms) and integrating facilities (infrastructures which will clearly need to be geared up in order to serve efficiently the whole network). The former include a number of small or medium-sized platforms for sequencing, genotyping, transcriptomics or proteomics which will become accessible to all of the participants of "Marine Genomics Europe". In addition, we have attracted the interest of the two major sequencing centres in
Flagship projects: SYNCHIPS (PI: W. Hess, Univ. Freiburg, De) and FICELL (PI: L. Cancela, CCMAR, Pt).
Flagship projects: MARINE_EXPRESS (PI: M. Czjzeck, CNRS, Fr) and GARNERT (PI. D. Arendt, EMBL, De)
The Bioinformatics Platform helps in the analysis and store for the whole network DNA and amino acid sequences as well as proteomics and transcriptomics data. Our 4-year objective here is to set up a central bioinformatics facility for Marine Genomics, which is located at the Centre for Genome Research,
Not only will these integration instruments strengthen the technical excellence in marine biology but they also serve as anchoring points to train marine biologists and to enhance their appropriation of the concepts and tools of genomics.
New: the MGE data release policy, apporved by the SSC is available.

New scientific projects emerge from the consortium of Marine Genomics Europe and are designed as MGE Integration outcomes:
The Ectocarpus project, The Cytophagale porject, Barcoding of marine nematodes..and others
In collaboration with scientists from various field.
Moreover, one of the objectives of Marine Genomics Europe is to develop a shared and harmonized approach to knowledge transfer and dissemination. With this aim in view, an Intellectual Properties Use and Dissemination Committee (IPUDC) has been created.
